We opted to try this item out when we rented a car on vacation! We are very glad we did! It was amazing and so easy to use. We were able to look up attractions in the area along with entering in the first few letters of the name and it gave us options to choose from. This is a portable unit not connected to the vehicle in any way therefore possibly a high theft item. It was able to show us the speed limit that we were going at all times. It gave us an estimated time of arrival along with letting us know when there was traffic backed up ahead. It even told us there was an accident before we saw the traffic backed up. The only downfall that I could see was that it did not tell us what the current speed limit was on the particular street that we were on. That would have been very helpful. We traveled off the directed route a couple times (food and rest stops) and it recalculated itself and got us right back on track! Since we tried this out for 3 days and have been very, very happy with it, we are now purchasing the exact one and planning a cross country trip!
