We have had the c340 for over 6 months. I love it. It has found a faster way through town for me. I connect it to our computer for software and map updates which is an important feature to look for. You can also load your own latitude and longitude coordinates from Google Earth for places where you don’t have an address. For some cities you can find the location of speed traps and download them into the c340 - it will then warn you as you approach. The text to speech function is helpful but you cannot rely on it alone. It is necessary to keep an eye on the map so you know what you are supposed to do ahead of time, for example be in the right lane for a right hand turn. This is especially true in traffic. We often ask it for a route that avoids freeways during rush-hour. The c340 has all the functionality you need in a automotive GPS and because it is not the latest model you get great value.
