I waited in line at 4:00am in the morning on “Black Friday” to be one of only 4 people to get one of these and MAN was it worth it!

This GPS is great. The screen is nice and bright. Using the routing feature it gets you right where you need to go using clear verbal instructions. i.e. “turn left in 300 yards” etc…

It always locks on to satellites quickly when turning it on. (approx. 20-30 seconds at the most sometimes)

A cool feature is the POI (points of interest) you can choose a category OR type a search of a business and it will pull up that businesses information AND route you there if you like.

My wife and I wanted to take a drive to San Diego and go to a famous Pizza Place known as Filippis. I typed in Fillipis and it gave me a small list of every business with the name fillipis in it. The one we wanted was on top.

I selected it and it gave us a route with verbal instructions right to it over a 100 miles away.

By the way… a previous reviewer said it had no wall charger. That’s not true. It comes with everything you need. Wall charger, car charger, car holder etc…

Now a few bad things (but aren’t bad enough to keep me from recommending it) The MAP that comes installed has probably 99.999% of the streets I’ve seen. It truly is a great map…. BUT….

It doesn’t have MY street!!! (and block) it was built 3 1/2 years ago. I tried downloading the most current maps from their website and apparently it is the same map that comes with it. So I just have to remember where I live for now… ha-ha.

I will have to say though it is NOT a difficult GPS (it is my first and I’ve practically mastered it in the last 3 weeks) it is NOT for your Grandmother or the VCR programmably impaired person. It takes a little toying with as I found the manual not to be that great. Then again, I hate to read manuals.

One thing… the only slightly challenging thing so far was using the routing. Not too difficult though.

The MP3 player is great as well… I bought a 2GB SD card (which fits right into the top of the GPS) and loaded it with approx. 250 songs or so from my computer.

I can listen to my MP3’s right from it’s onboard speaker which sounds very good or from headphones.
