This is my 4th Garmin i3 from the Factory. The first 3 had problems tracking or finding Satellites. They would find them in 3-5 mins.. At first.. And after the 5th 0r 6th time using it, it would take up to 15 mins to find satellites. Then..The next time It would just not find them. so..I called Garmin. They had me send it in, and they sent me a new one. This was nice. Except the first replacement unit they sent me would not load maps. So..I sent this one in. They sent me another new one. This new one came and after 5-10 uses, it too had problems finding Satellites. I sent that one in and replaced it with the one I have now. And..I must say.. I am finished sending GPS i3’s back and forth to the factory. This is the final i3 for me. I will never buy another garmin. Not ever. This new one can and required me to do some addressing over the internet with tech support. Something to do with mac addressing and my DVD or CD that came with the original i3. After getting this corrected, I was able to load maps. And now.. I am up to my 5th usage and this i3 takes 10mins or more to find Satellites and is just the pits. I get so angry and by the time satellite acquisition is made, I am miles down the road and so angry it just is not worth the money or hassle. My Dad has a Tom Tom and it gets Sats fast. Almost instant. If you are looking for a GPS. Do not look at anything Garmin. Garmin has blown it. I will never buy another Garmin.. Which is too bad since it does work well once it gains Sats. But..When is that going to be? You never know with these Garmins. Just stay away from them. Sorry Garmin. And..I am sorry for me too. since it has been a year now and I am not able to get my money back..
