I purchased a 2200T from Costco. I returned it after using it for about 3 weeks.

Before I ever attempted to use the unit I loaded the latest firmware. I had no software problems such as the screen freezing or locking up, and the voice messages were clear.

I was really frustrated trying to figure out how to use the unit. I own a Garmin Nuvi 350 that is kept in my wife’s vehicle. You had to load addresses in a completely different manner than the Nuvi, and the POI database was terrible!

I finally figured how to input addresses, and I got familiar with the GUI. After that, the system worked great and it got me where I wanted to go. Some of the features, like the ability to plot your route, and store multiple routes is actually superior to the Nuvi. You could also play music and photos just like the Nuvi 350.

However, the POI feature was so lousy I could not stand it. I would type in the name of a major store that was only a few miles away and it would not show up! This happened constantly with major chains.

With the Nuvi when I entered shopping it would show all local stores in the area; the 2200T only shows shopping centers!
