I guess I’m a little different than most users of High-Tech equipment… I like it simple. The i2 delivers on simple.

Now for a confession… I actually worked backwards to get to the simplicity that I love. I am in a business that requires tracking down addresses for sales calls. I’ve only lived in Nashville for a couple of years and GPS has made my life a lot easier than Pre-GPS. I started out with the StreetPilot 2620… over $1000 and lots of wires, bean-bag mounts and features that the Enterprise wouldn’t need. This thing was so big it blocked out a good deal of my vision when on the dashboard of my Jeep Wrangler. That unit just quit working one day and went into a cycle of repeated menus. When contacted Garmin said it could be fixed for a flat $250 plus shipping. Had to do it with so much invested. This unit now resides in another vehicle belonging to another employee. I moved down (up?) to the newer c330. Very slick unit all touch-screen and very nice (no buttons! Hence simple). The screen is still too large for my tastes, but it would be difficult to do touch-screen on anything smaller. Another size issue is that the c330 is too big to put into my briefcase or jacket pocket. I can’t leave it in the Jeep as things tend to grow legs and disappear when left in the “Rag Top” for more than 5 minutes.

Now for the i2. I saw it and HAD to have it! It is small and simple! It has a b&W screen that is easy to see and doesn’t block out the sun!

Yes, you have to load in the maps. Big deal. How often do I change states? It holds up to four states at a time anyway. It fits in my briefcase and it only has 3 buttons. This could be the best GPS for me. Several thousand dollars less than the other units, small, efficient and SIMPLE.

I LOVE THIS THING!

Added bonus… it does the same thing the other units did and it gets me there just as well.

Save your money and stay simple… the i2 is great.
