This was on sale for $250 so I thought I would try it on a trip. I found out there were at least eight major functions not working or that I could not get to work. This is after I have tested other models from rental car places like a Garmin model.

Here is what would not work:

1) Setting the home destination

This allows a quick one touch navigation home from wherever you are - very handy. However, no matter what, it would not remember the setting.

2) Recent locations not saved

Similarly, no matter how many destinations we entered and navigated to, it would not be saved in the Recent section. Very annoying to have to reenter places already visited.

3) Favorite locations not saved

Like Recents, Favorites would never appear on the menu and no error was received.

4) Confusion between left and right

The unit would sometimes get confused between left and right and tell us something was on the left when it was actually on the right and visa versa.

5) Faulty windshield holder

The ball-bearing on the windshield holder became so loose within a day of us that it became useless.

6) Distances to turn often inaccurate

Very often, it would say to turn in 2000 feet - just as the turn passed us by.

7) Starts in Montana

For some unknown reason, it always seems to think it is in Montana until it acquires a satellite signal
